Hey guys, this is my very first time trying to use Gmarket to buy some Korean stuffs!!
Let's start "What is Gmarket?"!!
Gmarket is kind of like Korea's ebay minus the bidding. Basically, there is a tonne of sellers that have stores on there (Really similar to ebay) but instead of buying everything separately, you add the items you want into the cart and Gmarket ships it all together for you. In simple term, Gmarket works like an intermediary to gather all your orders from different sellers and packed them in a one single package.
As it is a Korean site, they majority of items on there are Korean and they range from cosmetics to clothes to food and even furniture. Let's just say you can practically find anything Korean on Gmarket. This is big big great news to all Korean lovers.
There is an global site BUT the listing of the actual items are most likely going to be in Korean. I learnt some Korean before so I have got the hang of recognizing some of the Korean characters but if you do not know how to read Korean, then you may have to do some memorizing of each character. Google translate may be helpful buy take note that it might be very time consuming.
But don't worry much, cause most of the sellers can answer the questions in English. Moreover, if you buying clothes, Gmarket and the seller will provide a size chart as a guide. In the size chart always have pictures and arrows telling you where they are measuring and so on. So easiest way for the people how doesn't know Korean is learn to read with the aid of pictures.
Gmarket ships worldwide with EMS meaning it's fast but slightly pricier. This shipping provides a worldwide tracking. However, I find that the more you buy, the more decent the shipping gets. Normally the shipping will take 2-10 business days, NOTE weekends are not in count.
Anyway, this website is really great to the all Korean lovers and they have a very speedy shipping.

15/5/2014: Order placed
16/5/2014: Seller started shipping the items to Gmarket warehouse
20/5/2014: All items received in the warehouse
20/5/2014: Final weight of the order weighted and handover to the airport.
21/5/2014: On worldwide shipping (see below for more details)

21/5/2014 (11:44): Collecting from warehouse
21/5/2014 (13:19): Forward for Export
22/5/2014 (09:06): Received in destination country
22/5/2014 (09:07): Awaiting Customs Clearance
28/5/2014 (14:23): Forwarded for UK processing
28/5/2014 (15:24): Received and processed
29/5/2014 (00:13): Received at delivery depot
03/6/2014 (00:15): Loaded to vehicle for delivery
03/6/2014 (07:40): Departed from delivery depot
03/6/2014 (13:03): Delivered
Now you see, the shipping do arrived within 10 days from Korea to UK. All these can be tracked through Gmarket or your country EMS carrier (UK is Parcel Force). PS. if you didn't get caught by the customs then the parcel won't stuck at customs and paid the customs duty.
